20 Minutes in Prague




Popularly known as the City of Spires, bisected by the Vltava river and home to about 1.3 million people, Prague is the largest and capital city in Czech Republic, the 14th largest city in the European Union and the historical capital of Bohemia.





Prague Houses a ton of famous cultural attractions, most of which survived the violence and destruction that happened in 20th-century Europe. Some of these attractions include The Prague Castle, The Charles Bridge, Old Town Square where The Prague astronomical clock is located, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín Hill and Vyšehrad which it comes as no surprise that since 1992, the historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. The City of Spires is also home to more than 10 major museums, along with numerous theatres, galleries, cinemas and other historical exhibits.





Prague records over 6.4 million international visits year, which is probably the reason why it is currently the fifth most visited European City after London, Paris, Istanbul and Rome.
