COLORBURSTS

Hey Afriqans!!! I officially apologize for being away for such a long time. While surfing the internet, I discovered .....drum-rolls.....the beauty of colors in fashion. For a period of time, I’ve dressed within my comfort zone #dullcolors.

However, I feel that playing around with colors once in a while is worth it. All you’ve got to do is to figure out the right colors that match.

That is, colors that complement each other, though they are bright. It adds flavor to your outfit and pops your look.

For beginners who are afraid to try a lot of colors at first, they could start with 3 bright colors at first.

As already mentioned, whatever colors you pick must complement each other to avoid looking like a clown. For others who have experimented with colors, I bet using about 4 colors could be pulled off.

P.S. the colors that we wear go a long way to define a lot of things. The author of ‘How Not To Wear Black’, Jules Standish, a fashion consultant for women who are skeptical

about experimenting in fashion, believes that exploring in your fashion life helps to boost your well-being and self-esteem.

Some features have been attributed to some colors. For instance, red: attention; yellow: intelligence and inspiration, with a touch of cheerfulnesspurple: luxury and creativity; white: cleanliness, simplicity, peace and innocence, and black represents power, seriousness, authority and responsibility.

Whatever color you choose to wear, please avoid green and red as a combo. They are totally a no-no!

Until next post, remember to keep feeling confident and glamorous...and nothing less...XOXO
